Walking for Health
PublishedDonington Health walks celebrated St. Georges day on Tuesday 23rd April out in the glorious sunshine with a walk in the Donington countryside followed by an excellent 3 course Roast Beef (or Vegetarian Lasagne) celebration meal.
The walkers divided themselves into teams and took part in a quiz that left many members struggling for the answers. To close the celebrations everyone joined in a rousing rendition of Land of Hope and Glory. A very big thank you to all the volunteers for their hard work in providing an excellent meal.
We have three supervised walks to choose from each week which are designed to suit everyone’s requirements, varying from just over 1 mile to about 4.5 miles in length, lasting from thirty minutes up to one and a half hours.
The walks start at 10.30 am every Tuesday and finish before midday.
We meet at the Ruby Hunt Centre, Church Street, Donington. All are welcome. Please arrive by 10.20am with suitable footwear. All dogs must be kept on leads and are very welcome. Refreshments are served by the Ruby Hunt volunteers after the walks.
So why not come along and join in the award winning best attended Health Walks in the whole of Lincolnshire with 50 walkers most weeks.
